Founding hypothesis

If we help conscious creators grow and monetize their communities with paid content, they will choose our solution over patreon and other platforms because it's where their audience is and they can accept crypto payments.

Challenges

As design lead, one challenge was creating versions of the same product for different types of users. Users could be creators, fans, or both. Creators could also manage or collaborate on multiple communities. Another challenge was creating features for audience engagement without overwhelming our small team of three engineers. Aditionally, a key feature of the platform was integrating metamask and enabling crypto payments.

Prototypes

We started with a loyout inspired by apps like LinkedIn. High level community information on the left, a center feed, and actions on the right. We created design cohesion around variable components like post and designed for both web and mobile screens.

After the first iterations, the founders wanted to create more simplicity and create a Minecraft inspired feel (see third video below).

Design System

As designs finalized I created a design system in Figma and drew specifications so developers could easily create pixel perfection in production.

More

During the my time at officeparty NFTs were invented. The founders and I worked on a small sideproject called Obtainable. We built a simple collectable NFT art marketplace.
